Did you know that the phrase Fiat Lux was told by God when He created the Universe?

It means something like let there be light. It is nice to know those little things, isn't?

And did you know that wall sconce is a type of light fixture affixed to a wall in such a way that it uses only the wall for support and the light is usually directed upwards. It does not have a base on the ground. The applies to traditional forms of torch lighting but also to modern gas and electric light sources affixed in the same way.

I think wall sconces are the best way to direct light to paintings.

I went to a house another day and it was full of wall sconces. Really beautiful. I think I could put some spots at my house.
